Manager, Assurance

Salary: $75,000 to $95,000

Location: Burlington, Ontario

Our client, located in the dynamic city of Burlington, is offering an exciting career opportunity for an energetic Assurance Manager to join their expanding team. Your accountabilities and responsibilities for this role include: Overseeing and Managing Notice to Reader and Review Engagements; Mentoring and Guiding assurance staff as they progress through their educational program; Ensuring that files, procedures, and disclosure are compliant with all current assurance pronouncements; Providing assistance to Partners and the Senior Manager, Assurance in managing team workload requirements; Developing and implementing strategies for clients to capitalize on business opportunities; Preparing, on a timely basis, financial statements and tax returns in accordance with Firm standards; Effectively communicating with our clients, government agencies, Partners and staff; Providing coaching and training to other staff members. Ability to prioritize, delegate work and manage multiple tasks; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Act with professionalism and have a strong work ethic; Strong team player; Entrepreneurial with strong commitment to exceed client expectations; Solid analytical and decision-making qualities. Experience in Domestic Tax in the following areas: Corporate Tax; Reorganizations; Partnerships; Trusts; Individual; Working knowledge of GST/HST; Experience in reviewing corporate tax returns; Willing to learn other areas of tax.
